Meeting focused on the study of beekeeping, designing and building an apiary, with the knowledge of the depletion of resources and the decrease of biodiversity, an increasingly polluted environment and invasive species that endanger pollinators, including bees.
Exchange between students from Konstfack (Stockholm) and architecture students in Madrid (Universidad Europea de Madrid, and CEU San Pablo), based on the meeting with local beekeepers, inter-species coexistence practices and traditional vernacular constructions, they were studying the typologies of traditional apiaries, the past and the present challenges of beekeeping in the area, and also jointly developed a project to build an apiary.
